Introducing Truth in Tuition
Tuition doesn’t need to be complicated. It’s been a common practice in higher education to provide students with scholarships. Some are merit based and others are needs based. We’ve tried awarding both types of scholarships and we’ve found that in pursuing this we’ve upset or ignored a very large percentage of students that received a small scholarship or none at all.
The reason the coding bootcamp education model has been wildly successful is we’ve flipped the traditional classroom around in that it provides short lectures followed immediately by actually learning the lecture by doing. Well we’ve now done the same with tuition: we’ve flipped how you normally think about it and how it’s implemented; thus, Truth in Tuition is born.
So, now instead of wondering what your scholarship award is, or in other words, are you the one on the airplane that paid big bucks while the person next to you paid the super-saver fare, we’re going to give every student our best price based on our expenses and need to have something left over to continue offering our boot camp. That means the person sitting next to you in bootcamp will have paid the same tuition as you did.
We’ve dug deep; with our new tuition for the full time software development immersive bootcamp now at $11,900 compared to the previous tuition of $14,987. If you’re still stuck on scholarship roulette then pretend you’ve just got about 20% off.
We’ve always believed that our tuition was a bargain compared to traditional higher education and offered students a Return on Investment of twelve months or less. Now at $11,900 it makes our coding bootcamp even more accessible and affordable with monthly payments after graduation at $238 a month for 60 months for the possibility of a new career and higher earnings.
