Return On Your Education
Congratulations! You’ve taken the first significant step in transforming your life and career with your admission to devCodeCamp.
With this huge achievement in the rearview mirror, now comes the time where you identify the best means to pay for your devCodeCamp tuition and cost of living while in the program. Enter our financing partner, Skills Fund, who is dedicated to removing all barriers to entry and empowering all students with an outcomes-based, transformative skills training program.
Together, we’re proud to offer tuition and cost of living financing, all umbrellaed under one, low, up-front interest rate for all approved students (removing all questions of your rate and APR), a loan calculator to select your preferred monthly repayment, and a quick application process to get financing behind you as easily (and painlessly!) as possible.
Here’s what you need to do in order to apply for a Skills Fund Loan (it’s easier than you think!)
SECURE YOUR ADMISSION INTO DEVCODECAMP: Apply for financing after you’ve been accepted into devCodeCamp. Need some bootcamp interview tips? Check out Skills Fund’s blog post here.
FACTOR IN TIMING: Your program will need to start within 90 days of the date that you apply for a loan, so keep that in mind when you’re deciding which start date to select. If you fall out of the 90-day window, you’ll need to re-apply for financing.
DETERMINE HOW MUCH YOU NEED TO FINANCE: We only want you to finance what you need, so think about your in-program and job search needs.
For example: if you’re leaving your current job to attend a bootcamp, you’ll need to budget for yourself without including that paycheck. For programs that are in an area different from where you currently live, you should take moving and housing costs into account.
Think about your short- and long-term costs, and if needed (due to scholarships, grants, etc.) you can downward adjust the amount you’ve requested to borrow at any time. And it gets better: Skills Fund has a two-month repayment grace period following program completion and does not have prepayment penalties, so if you find yourself budgeting better than anticipated, you can pay off the balance of your loan at any time (without any cost to you!)
GATHER YOUR IMPORTANT INFORMATION: We’ll need the following information from you when you apply for your loan:
- Full name
- Email and other contact information
- Social Security Number
- Date of Birth
- Loan amount requested
- Three personal references
- Cosigner information (if applicable)
LEAVE THE REST TO US: After you submit your loan application to Skills Fund, you’ll receive an underwriting decision within minutes. If you’re credit-denied, you may be given the opportunity to advance with a cosigner.
Once fully approved and you’ve accepted your loan, Skills Fund sends the tuition directly to devCodeCamp and your cost of living directly to you.
- One low, universal rate for all approved students.
- Know your interest rate, monthly repayment and all cost associated with your financing before applying.
- No income, employment or educational criteria used in underwriting.
