Our Boot Camp programs teach the skills more practically suited to the role of a software developer in a fraction of the time and cost than traditional methods. devCodeCamp helps solve the local “skills shortage” for software developers by educating companies about our grads and how they traditionally go about hiring software developers.
Today companies universally advertise and only seem to want to hire senior developers based those ads. The problem is so do all the other companies. The typical job description is an asymmetry in the number of years required to be hired. Because of this practice companies inadvertently discourage and harm the talent pipeline. Enough qualified candidates are not funneled into the hiring process because of the “years” barrier so they pick up and leave for cities more welcoming and receptive.
To date, we’re proud to say over 70 progressive and forward-thinking companies have hired our junior developer graduates. A number have hired multiple grads. They’ve formed a solid baseline in object-oriented programming, front end and back end skills you can employ on day one. With a project-based curriculum, they’ve developed the reasoning skills needed to navigate through coding complexity.
