“Four years ago I completed devCodeCamp. I came in with zero coding experience, today I can actually say I love what I do.”

What Do You Need? Not What You Think.

Whether you are seeking your first job or are switching careers, you will be joining other like-minded people that have the same desire as you in breaking into the software development field. Our students have varied previous coding experience before beginning devCodeCamp in that the majority have done zero coding and then there are those on the other end of the scale that comes with a Computer Science degree. What they had…

Positive Attitude Toward Learning

One of the most important parts of becoming a professional developer is having a positive attitude towards learning. This holds true for growth at devCodeCamp as well as on the job. Employers get excited when developers are passionate about broadening their horizons by learning new technologies.

A Desire To Be Challenged

Personal growth will come from facing and conquering challenges daily. The desire to be challenged will lead to many opportunities to build an expanding skill set.

I went from working in janitorial work for almost a decade, with minimal development/coding experiences, to accepting a job at a Fortune 500 company as a Full Stack Engineer.

Who Makes A Good Applicant? What We Look For.

A great applicant at devCodeCamp does not need any technical experience. We have had everyone from high school graduates, career changers, and those with degrees in computer science looking to add real-world coding skills. In any case, our project-based teaching style helps our students be better prepared for the job market than traditional schooling.

devCodeCamp students have a wide variety of experiences. We believe that the skills that a software developer needs can be learned in a range of ways. If an applicant’s previous experiences taught them how to communicate, learn new skills quickly, and use teamwork to solve complex problems, then they are in a great position to succeed at devCodeCamp.

The ideal candidate is ready to hit the ground running. They want to solve problems. They get excited about learning new skills. They are not deterred by obstacles. devCodeCamp students are people who look at a complicated challenge as an opportunity instead of an obstacle.

This is not your normal online coding bootcamp. Our instructors teach our lessons live to your class. You can stop them and ask a question, request clarification of a new concept, and benefit from your classmates questions? Our student support is what sets us apart from other online bootcamps. Our instructors are online and waiting for your questions. They can answer instant messages for a quick question or clarification or video chat and share your screen for more involved issues. Our goal is to make online learning as accessible as possible. We succeed when our students succeed and we are therefore always striving to provide the best possible online learning experience. You will need to have a dedicated space to succeed.
